Hi. My name is Max and I became a Humanist celebrant in 2018. I am an attorney and live in Brooklyn. I’m a dog person, blue belt in Brazilian jujitsu and do the Polar Bear plunge in the icy waters of Coney Island every January 1.
Custom weddings are my primary focus, but I’ll happily work with you to script any type of ceremony. I’m in east Tennessee and also open to working in north Georgia or western NC, when my schedule permits.
I am thrilled to be the Humanist Officiant for the offbeat people; you know who you are! Weddings, funerals and memorials, trans-naming and baby naming ceremonies are all milestones that are integral to our existence and I am honored to hold your hand and stand with you. I have recently moved from Wake Forest, NC to Charlotte, NC and will travel to meet you where you are. Be well and take care.
I’ve been a Humanist Celebrant since 2015. It is not my primary job, yet I am honored to perform non-religious ceremonies whenever I am available. I have done weddings, funerals, vigils, and vow-renewals. These events are important to those involved and I like to work with the participants to develop a custom ceremony tailored to their needs.
The ceremony is a wonderful opportunity for the couples to articulate their beliefs, values and aspirations, and to create a wedding that truly captures their character. The individual, personalized nature of secular/non religious weddings enables couples, along with their wedding celebrant, to create a ceremony that is uniquely tailored to their own personalities and beliefs. It also makes secular weddings ideal for families that may not fit the narrow traditions of many religions.
