Raul Martinez served as President of Humanists and Atheists of Las Vegas from 2014 to 2016 and as Member of the Board of the American Humanist Association from 2009 to 2013. In 2011, he became one of the plaintiffs in a lawsuit filed by the ACLU of Nevada for the right of atheists to perform marriages in the state. The lawsuit prompted the Legislature to change the law and to grant a secular option.
I have extensive experience with marriages–over 1500 counting civil ceremonies for L.A. County. I have done several LGBTQ and secular Jewish marriages, but am happy to work with anyone. Also available for baby namings, funerals and memorials, recommitments, etc. With enough advance notice and planning, I can travel.
I live in California and primarily work here but have traveled many times to perform weddings and funerals and am willing to do this provided the details work out. Please email me for more information.
We guide couples through the process of creating a wedding ceremony that is right for them one that they will always remember, reflecting this very special step into their life-long commitment. We also offer memorial services, milestone birthday ceremonies, along with ceremonies to mark any milestone-of-passage in your life.
