I am a humanist celebrant, offering services to: • couples who want a non-religious officiant to help create a meaningful ceremony for their wedding, and • people at the end of their lives who wish to reveal and express their life, privately or in a public ceremony, and explore what a “good death” would be in practical, emotional and spiritual (humanist) dimensions. As a humanist, I am non-religious which allows the space for participants to find and express their own unique intention and meaning.
With detailed military understanding and a focus on trauma, death/grieving, and celebration of life, Andrea strives to allow empathetic transition and guide compassionate healing. The countryside setting near Ft.Bragg, NC, provides copacetic respite and refuge among horses and animals, as well as a peaceful location for memorial services and life celebration. Military, families, veterans, and civilians are always welcome for horsemanship immersion, as well as authentic decompression and creativity experiences. We’re all in this together; please come join us. 🙂 (At present, Andrea is also completing her doctoral studies in Community Counseling & Care – Trauma.)
Andrew J. Vaughn was endorsed by The Humanist Society as a Humanist Celebrant in 2015. His goal is to celebrate the human experience in his work as a celebrant. He provides services primarily in the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City area, but is willing to travel throughout Iowa and beyond.
My services include planning for and officiating at wedding or commitment ceremonies, memorial services, child naming events, coming of age celebrations, wedding anniversaries–or any life transition you want to recognize. I also work with clients who want to pre-plan for their own memorial, burial or cremation rites.
